The community activities in Kenya
The F.E.S have several communities in Kenya. These are:
- coordination house in Karen where the coordinator leaves, four sisters stay here doing their apostolate in different areas like office of PMC, with HIV/AIDS children and A.O.S.K.
- Kahawa west community, this is the novitiate community. sisters here work in the school, dispensary,social work and in the parish with children.
- Mugunda community-Nyeri. working in the dispensary,school and social work.
- Narumoru community -working in the children home,dispensary and school.
- Nthagaiya community -working in the dispensary,school and social work.
- Marafa community- malindi working in dispensary, school and in the parish with children.
FES PROJECT
Franciscan Elizabethan Sisters is a congregation started in Italy -Padua by Blessed Elizabeth Vendramini on 4th November, 1828. The charism of our congregation is to bring the mercy of God to the needy in the society and up rift the dignity of the poor. We are found in Italy, Equardo,Argentina,Israel,Egypt,Southern Sudan and Kenya.
The sisters in Kenya have a project of building hostels for the K.U students in Sifa House community in Kahawa West. This will help in the sisters sustainability and ongoing formation.
